More arrests in clampdown on town drugs

Two people have been arrested following a warrant in Haverhill on Wednesday.
As part of ongoing work by the Specials’ Territorial Support Team a warrant was executed at a property in Elmdon Place and two people inside were arrested.
A 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Haverhill, were arrested on suspicion of drug offences and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
The pair were taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they remained yesterday.
Combating drug activity in Haverhill is one of the current priorities of the town's Safer Neighbourhood Team,set at it's public forum in March.
Since then police have made a series of searches, raids and arrests in the town.
