Millennium cake fun
Thursday, 30th December 1999.
A TASTY way to see out the last school day of the Millennium was enjoyed by pupils at Steeple Bumpstead Primary School.
Members of the School Council decided that a Millennium cake should be baked to celebrate the new century and parent Janice Whitby baked it.
On the last day of term, school council members Elizabeth Slade, Victoria Winkworth and Rebecca Gardner-Smith were chosen to cut the cake.
There was enough for all 240 pupils and 20 staff to tuck in.
