Metal bollard flattened in mystery crash
Monday, 26th November 2012.
Haverhill police have asked anyone who knows anything about the incident in which Queen Street bollards were smashed on Saturday night to contact them.
Two of the metal 'Haverhill' bollards were damaged, one of them completely flattened parallel with the ground.
PCSO Les Scott, who is investigating the incident, said a report was made to police of a vehicle hitting the bollards, but no sign of one has been found and no driver has been traced.
It is assumed a vehicle travelling at very high speed collided with one bollard, spun and bounced of a second bollard.
Anyone with information can contact Haverhill police on 101.
