Matthew Hancock MP visits Stephensons Buses in Haverhill
Monday, 25th April 2016.
Matthew Hancock MP paid a visit to bus operator Stephensons at their Haverhill depot on Friday where he met Managing Director Bill Hiron and his team.
Stephensons run over 35 buses in West Suffolk, with more than 45 people employed at their Duddery Hill site, providing a mix of social and commercial routes.
Since taking over their Haverhill-based bus operations from Burton Coaches in 2011, they have invested over £3 in new, environmentally friendly passenger buses and have recently undertaken upgrading and refurbishment of the depot.
Commenting, Matthew said:
“Buses are vital to ensure everyone can get around, so I enjoyed meeting Bill Hiron and the team at Stephensons to talk about the routes that they offer, and what more can be done to make sure people get the reliable services they need. It was good to see some of the new, extra comfortable buses and hear about plans for the future."
