Mastiff shot with airgun pellet

Police are appealing for witnesses after a dog was shot with an air pellet in Haverhill.
The incident occurred between 8am and 2pm on Wednesday, December 18, in Mill Hill.
The dog, a French Mastiff, was found to have dry blood to the side of the neck by its owner and on closer inspection a pellet from an air weapon was found.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area, or who has information relating to this incident, is asked to contact PC Rupert Beynon at Haverhill Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
