Man arrested after trying to shoot out street lights

Police in Haverhill arrested a man last night after street lights were damaged, believed to have been caused by being shot at by an air weapon.
The incident occurred at around 7.30pm yesterday, in Fritton Court.
Officers responded to reports of street lights being shot at in the area and later that night arrested a 29-year-old man from Haverhill on suspicion of criminal damage.
He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he currently remains for questioning.
