Main route through town closed by falling tree
Friday, 8th June 2012.
11.30am - Withersfield Road is closed at the Cangle Junction outside the Rose and Crown Hotel at present because a tree has been partly blown down and presents a danger to traffic.
The tree is in the Rose and Crown garden and is suspended out over the path resting on power lines.
Police and the fire service are in attendance and have closed the road until the tree has been cut down and area made safe.
Drivers are being advised of alternative routes.
