Leisure centre staff take to their pyjamas
Wednesday, 13th March 2013.
Staff at Haverhill Leisure Centre will spend all day at work in their pyjamas on Red Nose Day on Friday, to raise money for Comic Relief.
Duty Manager Kirsty Millard, who featured in Abbeycroft’s recent Active St Eds poster campaign, will also be running the equivalent of a marathon on a treadmill to raise funds.
Plus there will be a chance for customers to guess the number of sweets in a jar and all flume ticket sales for the day will be donated to Comic Relief.
James Purkiss, the centre manager, said: “We are very pleased to be supporting Comic Relief again this year and our staff are very pleased that they get to spend the day in their PJs for charity!
"But there will be no time for sleeping as we raise funds throughout the day for this fantastic charity.
“Our duty manager Kirsty, who has completed several real life marathons, will be doing the same again but on the treadmill to raise more money, plus our customers can have some fun guessing the number of sweets in the jar.”
