Leading entrepreneur to share secrets of success
Friday, 7th January 2011.
One of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs is the speaker at a special evening event to be held in Haverhill this month.
The bestofhaverhill is hosting a visit from Nigel Botterill from 6pm-9pm at Haverhill Arts Centre on January 26.
Nigel Botterill is the founder and chief executive of a business empire which comprises some of the fastest-growing businesses in the UK, including thebestof franchise.
He has built five separate £1 million plus businesses from scratch in the last five years and is a self-made millionaire.
His first book, The Botty Rules: Success Secrets For Business In The 21st Century, has just been launched and is currently available via Amazon but is also being published on the social networking and micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Nigel has been touring the country presenting the “The 18 Secrets that Super Successful Business Owners Know - and Do… (that most business owners don’t know and don’t do!)”.
Businesses in Haverhill will have the opportunity to hear his 90-minute presentation which is a high-energy, fast-paced, humorous and engaging talk.
Nigel shares what Britain's super successful business owners have been doing over the last two years to flourish, thrive and grow during the recession while many businesses have been struggling.
Elaine Carr, owner of thebestofhaverhill, said: “I am really excited that Nigel Botterill accepted our invitation to come to Haverhill. I have heard him present on several occasions and I always come away feeling inspired and motivated.
"It’s a tough job running your own business. Sometimes the challenges can seem overwhelming but when you listen to someone like Nigel it makes you realise that success is achievable.
"By making a few simple changes in your approach you can have a huge impact on your attitude, your productivity and ultimately the success of your business.
"This presentation is packed full of practical advice and ideas, some of which you can put into practice the very next day. There’s no boring business speak and jargon from Nigel – it’s very down to earth and entertaining.
"I hope business owners in Haverhill and the surrounding area will take this opportunity to join us at the Arts Centre to share some of the secrets of this very successful entrepreneur. My thanks go to Barclays Bank PLC which has kindly agreed to sponsor the event.”
The catering department from Castle Manor Business and Enterprise College has been invited to prepare the buffet supper. Up to 12 students will be involved in both catering and front of house duties.
Elaine said: “I attended a Haverhill Chamber of Commerce event last year where the food had been prepared by the catering students from Castle Manor.
"The standard and presentation of food was excellent and Castle Manor was my first choice for caterers for this high profile evening.
"I am keen for students from both Castle Manor Business & Enterprise College and Samuel Ward Academy to be involved in the event.
" Both schools work hard at promoting entrepreneurship and I think Nigel Botterill provides a great role model for young people who want to go into business."
If you would like to attend the event at Haverhill Arts Centre, call Elaine Carr on 01440 710 158 or email Haverhill@thebestof.co.uk by Wednesday, January 19 to book your tickets.
