Launch celebrations go on at Tesco
Wednesday, 7th October 2009.
Shoppers received a treat at the weekend when they visited Haverhill’s newest supermarket.
Youngsters visiting the new Tesco superstore in Cangle Road, Haverhill, enjoyed free face painting, an environmental craft workshop and treats from Topsy and Flopsy the bunny rabbits.
Community champion Claire Bowden said: “The environmental fun day was hugely popular and there was a great atmosphere at the store. The children seemed to love all the free entertainment, and I hope the fun and games made a normal shopping trip that little bit more exciting!”
* Our picture shows Lauren Chinery, Billy Allen, Ellie Snell, Lee Mayes, members of the cast of Centre Stage Company's forthcoming youth production of the musical All Shook Up with Tesco community champion Claire Bowden at Saturday's event.
