Keep on the lookout for thieves
Friday, 26th February 2010.
The spate of burglaries in Haverhill may have come to an end, but out in the villages around thieves have been hard at work, and police are re-iterating their warning to the public to be vigilant.
In Lower Green, Denston, between noon on Monday noon on Wednesday, thieves broke into a house by forcing a window and stole copper piping and radiators.
In Plough Hill, Stansfield, between midnight and 6am on Wednesday a garage was broken into by damaging a lock and a concrete breaker stolen.
And in Fox Green, Great Bradley, between 8am on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday thieves have broken into a garage by forcing a door and stole a pressure washer and a rotavator.
And if you're going shopping in Bury St Edmunds take care you don't fall victim to a purse-snatcher, after four incidents were reported on Wednesday morning in the town centre, where wallets or purses were stolen from pockets, bags or shopping trolleys.
