Join Us In Debating Future - Chamber
Thursday, 13th October 2005.
Businesses and groups are being encouraged to join Haverhill's Chamber of Commerce and Industry at 'An Evening of Wine and Sculpture'.
The aim of the event, at 6pm on Wednesday, is to welcome firms and groups with a limited knowledge and experience of the chamber to see how they could benefit by joining up.
The evening will include wine tasting, with Anthony Foster, who has been in the trade for more than 30 years and is open to existing members and supporters.
Neil Williams, in charge of art at Samuel Ward Arts and Technology College, where the event is being held, will explain how business, schools and the wider community can use art in the environment to improve the cultural climate.
Guests will be able to view sculptures created at the college.
Paul Donno, chairman of the Haverhill Chamber, said they were determined to make the chamber one of the most active and successful in the country.
"One of the most controversial issues currently facing Haverhill is the future development of the town centre," he said.
"We would particularly encourage those businesses located within the centre to join the chamber and share their views."
Anyone wanting to attend the event should contact Jason Fitzpatrick by Monday on (01440) 709794 or at jason@havnet.net
