Jet trip could save your romance on Monday

If Valentine's Day catches you out, you can always turn to a local garage for help.
With Valentine’s Day falling on a Monday this year, many people will be caught unprepared or won’t have the chance to discreetly pop out and pick up a gift for their loved one at the weekend.
Help is at hand, though, with hopeless romantics in Haverhill able to turn to their local Jet service station – Westrope Motors in Steeple Bumpstead – for the perfect last-minute present.
The Jet station will be the saviour of ten local customers when it gives away ten Valentine’s rescue gift packs on Monday.
The first ten customers to walk into the station shop on the day and say the phrase “Help – I need Jet to fuel my Valentine’s Day!” to the sales assistant will receive a romantic rescue gift pack consisting of an elegant card, a box of heart-shaped chocolates and an adorable teddy bear.
Dave and Julia Dollin at Westrope Motors said: “From birthdays to anniversaries, new babies to Mother’s Day, many of our customers pop in to pick up last-minute gifts or cards for their loved ones.
"This Valentine’s Day, we wanted to go one step further for our absent-minded Romeos and disorganised Juliets, taking the stress out of their Valentine’s Day with these ‘rescue’ packs.
"All they have to remember is to say our phrase of the day “Help – I need Jet to fuel my Valentine’s Day!” and make sure they get to the forecourt early on in the day to avoid missing out.”
The Valentine’s Day rescue packs will be available on February 14 while stocks last. The Jet station will be open from 6am to 7pm on the day.
