TINY tots at the Hamlet Pre-School Group in Haverhill helped Jannice Clowes celebrate her 60th birthday and the fact she has been a helper there for more than two decades.

Youngsters at the group, which meets every morning at the Old Independent Church in Hamlet Road, made cards for Mrs Clowes and watched her blow out the candles on a special cake.

Mrs Clowes, of Shetland Road, Haverhill, has been helping out at the group for 23 years and is now seeing the children of her former charges coming along. The group has 35 under-fives on its books, with places for more to join, and anyone interested should contact Diane Grant on (01440) 707014.
