ITV’s Stunt Master agrees to perform ‘Cowell Danger Act’ for Haverhill Panto!
Wednesday, 21st October 2015.
One of the stars of this year’s Pantomime at Haverhill Arts Centre has announced that he will be recreating the part of his act that made Simon Cowell squirm with fear. Returning Panto Producers, That’s Entertainment, have so many stunts in this year’s new production of Cinderella that they have provided the venue with written assurances and risk assessments of the on stage danger involved.
“Phil Blackmore, known to millions when Simon Cowell said he has the scariest act he had ever seen,” is playing Buttons, explains the show’s Producer, Chris Gidney. “ITV’s master of stunts will be trying to impress Cinderella, not to mention our audiences with his highly dangerous plans to juggle Knives, Bowling Balls, Samurai Swords, Fire and even Jelly Babies!”
“I can’t believe I’ve never done panto until recently,” said Phil. “I’ve been so busy travelling the world with my act that I just haven’t had the chance, but this year I have cleared my diary so that I can enjoy the best family tradition in the world. I just hope Cinderella is impressed with my dangerous stunts!”
Theatre Manager Nick Keeble said, “Whilst any danger is taken very seriously by producers and theatre management, these experienced professional performers know exactly what they are doing and it promises to be a very exciting Pantomime which will appeal across the age ranges.”
“Despite the on-stage danger, the audience is not at risk of anything except falling off their seats with fun and laughter,” joked producer Chris. “And we still plan to throw the traditional sweets into the audience, albeit soft ones!”
Cinderella runs from 18 – 28 December. A family ticket is £42.00 and available by calling 01440 714140 or by going online www.haverhillartscentre.co.uk
