Impressive trials

FOOTBALL: Twenty youngsters have been chosen to start at the Haverhill Football Centre of Excellence which opens in September.
Director Rob Munro held two trials mornings and said he was impressed with the high standard of football he had seen.
Most of those signed up are pupils at Samuel Ward or Castle Manor Upper Schools and will continue their studies as well as training at the Centre of Excellence.
Munro said he had entered a team in a midweek league, with games to be played at Haverhill Rovers ground, and the youngsters would also play Saturday games at Castle Manor Upper School.
