How you can join in preparation for the flag festival
Monday, 11th March 2013.
There's a chance to learn the ancient art of felt-making at two Saturday workshops on March 23 and April 4 at Haverhill Arts Centre.
The workshops, from 10am to 3pm, are part of Haverhill Town Council’s Flag Festival which will see Haverhill town centre bedecked in flags, pennants and bunting this summer.
The first workshop will consist of making an individual piece of felt to learn the techniques, the second workshop will be about making colourful bunting embellished with beads and sequins and based on a theme of butterflies and flowers which will then be used to decorate the Arts Centre.
The workshops are open to both adults and children but under 12s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets for each workshop are £7.50 for adults and £5 for under 16s. No previous experience is required and all materials are provided.
To book tickets go to www.haverhillartscentre.co.uk or call 01440 714140.
