Hospital meeting lays foundations

A CHANCE to meet the governors of Addenbrooke's Hospital's new Foundation Trust is on offer in Haverhill on Thursday, September 23.
The meeting will be at Haverhill Arts Centre from 6.30-8pm and is one of a series being held around the district to seek views from members of the public.
At the beginning of July, Addenbrooke's was delighted to hear that the Independent Regulator had granted the hospital NHS Foundation Trust status. This change means that members of the public now have the opportunity to have a say in the way the hospital is run and how services are delivered.
To date, over 21,000 members of the general public have signed up as NHS Foundation Trust members and a number of meetings are being held over the coming months, offering them the chance to chat with some of the governors who have been elected to represent their views.
The meetings will be open to all members, and those who are not members but are interested in finding out more are also welcome to drop in.
