High Street cordoned off
Saturday, 30th October 2004.
Part of Haverhill High Street was cordoned off this morning until lunchtime. It follows an incident outside the White Hart pub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At around 0230 this morning, a 22 year old man from Haverhill received a stab wound to the stomach. He was taken to Addenbrookes hospital where he underwent surgery. His condition was described as stable.
A 24 year old male from Haverhill has been arrested under suspicion of wounding with intent and is being held at Stowmarket police station.
A 27 year old male from Haverhill is also being held in custody at Bury St Edmunds police station in relation to assisting an offender.
