Having a Ball at the Haverhill Business Awards
Wednesday, 15th June 2005.
On a night full of glitz and glamour Haverhill Business Park’s developer Nic Rumsey presented Steve Darbey of Wicked Wheels with the Best Small Business Award at the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala Ball held at Chilford Hall on Saturday 21st May 2005.
After presenting the award Nic Rumsey said: “Haverhill Business Park is delighted to have sponsored the Best Small Business Award. Haverhill has a thriving business community and recognising the achievements of these small companies is central to continuing to make the town a prime location for business; encouraging local entrepreneurship and inward investment.”
Also, Rumsey is celebrating after just signing the fifth major deal at the park, bringing a total of 12-acres sold to occupiers.
Nic Rumsey has witnessed, first hand, the growing business investment in the region; the business park is attracting strong interest from buyers and occupiers, locally and from surrounding commercial centres. So far, deals have been signed with Terence Barker Ltd, a company specialising in the manufacture of fuel storage tanks, Percy Dalton’s Famous Peanut Company Ltd, and Buildbase the builder’s merchants.
A deal has also been signed to build a Brewers Fayre, which will stand alongside an 80-bed Days Inn hotel and will provide Haverhill with modern affordable hotel accommodation. A petrol filling station will also be built at the business park.
Haverhill Business Park has the potential for 92,902 sq m (1m sq ft) of mixed-use development including industrial warehousing, offices and research and development.
Letting agent for the site are Cambridge based Carter Jonas and London based Rumsey & Partners.
