Haverhill tennis players have been tasting success recently with the tennis club's men's and mixed teams picking up wins.

Last week the men's A team were in good form away to Dunmow in the Halstead and District Tennis League Division Two and won the match 7-2.

Adam Fowle & Nigel Fitch won 6-2, 6-3, 6-1; Jake Warner & Ian Terry won 6-3, 6-2, 6-2; Rob Jeffs & Ross Tobin won 6-3 then lost the last two sets 2-6, 6-7.

The Dunmow team were Ken Rose & Pete Cooper, Andy Moss & Alan Bullock and Roger Rowland & Ollie Clarke.

Also in the Halstead League, the Haverhill mixed team have been having a successful time.

Against Hedingham A the team was Nigel Fitch & Lucy Hardwick, Ross Tobin & Abi Cartwright-Thomas, and Ian Terry & Marcia Armstrong, and Haverhill won 5-4.

Against Braintree C the Haverhill team of Stuart Read & Joan Ford, Nigel Fitch& Gill Argent and Peter Cannon & Amanda Smith also won 5-4.

And against Earls Colne A the Haverhill team of Ross Tobin & Gill Argent, Peter Cannon & Joan Ford and Jake Warner & Amanda Smith won 8-1.
