It was announced late on Friday night that the Mayor of Haverhill, Mr Ted Trebble, had passed away earlier in the evening.

After spending many months in hospital at the end of 2007, Mr Trebble was able to return to Haverhill just before Christmas. He was taken back into Addenbrookes Hospital on Thursday 10th January after becoming unwell.
