Haverhill Cricket Club go for 'CLUBMARK' Status
By Kieron Bailey on Tuesday, 2nd May 2006.
This week the club can announce that they have made the first steps with the ECB through the new Suffolk Cricket Development Office Michael Kay towards 'Clubmark' status.
In a nutshell this status would enable the club to forge direct links to the ECB and the county cricket set up. These organisations will help and support the development of the club ranging from financial help, developing the ground and facilities, help with coaching and help with the ground and open doors that will ensure the future of the club.
The committee will sit down over the next few weeks and produce a business plan as part of the clubmark requirements which will provide the basis of where we see the club in ten years time.
We will be looking for all our members to support the committee in achieving this award, this will be a team effort, something to be proud of.
