Goods flood in for harvest festival
Thursday, 11th October 2001.
FRUIT, vegetables, flowers and tinned goods poured into St Felix Roman Catholic Primary School in Haverhill for their Harvest Festival services.
Two sessions were held so that all the parents and friends of the 224 pupils could be accommodated, with younger pupils attending in the morning and older ones in the afternoon.
All the produce brought along was displayed in the school hall and an auction held in the evening.
Around £150 raised from the event will be donated to CATHOD, the Catholic Overseas Development Agency.
CAPTION: Preparing for the Harvest festival ... pupils Paige Doran and Chance Meads, both aged five.
