Finally news just in, the Haverhill seniors Parks team have just beaten last year’s winners, Purdis (Ipswich Golf Club) in the first round, away at Purdis on Monday, May 10.
The match was all square at full time and Haverhill just managed to win the play-off hole. Last year Haverhill lost to Purdis at Diss in the final, so it was a great result for Haverhill, especially having to play the defending champions on their home turf.
