A FUNGAL foray in Haverhill's East Town Park kept youngsters occupied on Saturday afternoon. Members of Haverhill Wildlife Club took part in the event and also got the chance to make a spore print, see how fairy rings are made and make a fungi garden using paper and modelling clay. Organiser Hazel Smith said they found a variety of fungi, although not of the brightly coloured varieties.
She reminded the youngsters that they should never touch fungi and never attempt to eat it.
