Fund-raisers put their foot down for youngsters
Thursday, 19th August 1999.
A GROUP of police officers plans to run and cycle 300 miles to raise money for a nine-year-old girl who suffers from "delayed development".
Members of the Bury St Edmunds-based Operational Support Group hope to cross the county visiting nearly every police station.
They will start out from Lowestoft on September 29 and finish at Bury St Edmunds on September 30. The police stations they will call at include Haverhill, Newmarket and Mildenhall.
The money will go to help Anna-Louise Pasque, who lives at Cratfield, Suffolk, and suffers from a condition known as severe global delay.
It means that she has not developed much beyond the capabilities of a two-year-old.
