Fun and music will mark opening of new plaza
Wednesday, 13th April 2011.
A new public open space in the heart of Haverhill will be launched on Saturday with free fun and music from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
The plaza, outside Subway in Ehringshausen Way, will have face painting for young children (with accompanying adult) by cheeky chimps and feature live music from Nice Manors and Jade Donno.
Nice Manors, the Castle Manor band, has just returned from a triumphant tour of the continent, and singer Jade Donno has recently performed as a solo artist in the Open Mic UK final at the O2.
For more information, please contact town centre manager Tina Hanks on tina.hanks@stedsbc.gov.uk
The plaza area was originally designed as a disabled car park, but was misused to such a degree that a new purpose has been found for it.
