Full service again

Twenty-four hour ambulance cover in Haverhill will be restored from 7am next Monday morning.
MP Richard Spring was informed of the news by Frank Harradence, Suffolk area commander of the East Anglian Ambulance Trust, after raising the issue last month with trust chairman Andrew Egerton-Smith.
Mr Spring described the withdrawal of night cover from the Haverhill Station almost two years ago as "a terrible blow" and saluted those who supported the campaign to get it restored.
A 5,500 signature petition was handed in on the floor of the House of Commons and numerous cases of long waits for ambulances were reported.
Mr Spring said: "I have raised the issue directly with the Prime Minister on the floor of the House. I have had endless meetings, private and public, with the Trust representatives to try and get the cover restored.
"This is truly excellent news and most welcome to my constituents who have had to put up with an inadequate service for far too long. Despite my joy at this news, I shall be monitoring the situation carefully in the future."
