Full programme for children over Easter holidays
Monday, 26th March 2012.
An Easter bonnet parade, animal experience, athletics afternoons, cycling, golf, and laser blast are just some of the activities available at Haverhill Leisure Centre this Easter.
Children can meet meerkats, snakes, tarantulas, giant rats and parrots at the Centre’s Animal Experience on Wednesday, April 4, while those learning to cycle can get some top tips from British Cycling coach John Stockwell during a session full of fun obstacle courses on Wednesday, April 11.
Plus there’s cycling, laser blast, football, basketball, golf and squash on offer at the Centre’s popular holiday camps during the mornings and athletics afternoons with specialist coaches during the afternoons.
The holiday camps for children aged eight and over will take place every day from Monday, April 2 to Thursday, April 5, and Tuesday, April 10, to Friday, April 13, from 9am to 5pm. Children can take part in the camps for a morning or afternoon, a whole day or even the whole week.
In Kid City there are activities running every day throughout the Easter holiday including movie day, treasure hunt, and Easter bonnet parade and competitions.
Amelia Epton, Abbeycroft’s children and young people programme manager, said: “We have a huge number of activities at Haverhill Leisure Centre this Easter including the return of our very popular animal experience and a chance to get some top cycling tips from British cycling coach John Stockwell.”
There’s a special Easter offer price on the holiday camps. Camps cost £5 for a morning or afternoon session. For the whole day it costs £9.99 per child and £39 for a four-day week. Parents need to provide lunch and swimwear. Lunch can be provided at an additional cost.
Bookings must be made in advance at the Leisure Centre or by calling 01440 702548. Visit Abbeycroft’s website for more information at www.acleisure.com
