Frightening entertainment lined up for Halloween
Tuesday, 21st October 2014.
Geeks and ghouls, freaks and fools, and all manner of scary Halloween creatures will crawl out of their hiding places at East Town Park on Friday, October 31.
The annual Halloween Trail organised by Haverhill Town Council is for all the family – as long as the family (ie mum and dad) are not too wimpy!
Discover the startling sights and gruesome characters that linger and lurk in dark corners of the park when the spooky fun starts at 7.00pm. Bring a torch, dress up, but remember to wear suitable footwear and that the weather may be chilly.
There is limited parking on site, please use the town centre car parks. Part of the trail covers areas of the park with steps and so is unsuitable for buggies and wheelchairs. All children must be accompanied.
Haverhill Town Council’s Halloween Trail is free of charge but there will be a bucket collection on the night.
* There’s a gentle horror for little horrors this Halloween half-term at Haverhill Arts Centre.
Little Frankenstein, on Tuesday, October 28, at 2.30pm tells the tale of semi-famous puppeteer Frank Stein who has had enough with his badly made puppets. He’ll never be really famous because his puppets keep falling apart.
Taking inspiration from the scientist Doctor Frankenstein, and with the help of the audience he creates a new real live puppet that is destined to change his life forever.
Creature George emerges from the laboratory, innocent and willing to learn, but Frank is so intent on his new show that he neglects to look after his new child.
Tickets are £5, £4.50 or £18 for a family ticket. To book go to www.haverhillartscentre.co.uk or call 01440 714140.
Little Frankenstein has been created by Lempen Puppet Theatre Company who have been touring their own unique brand of original stories told with puppets since 1987.
Imaginative, lyrical, spellbinding, and surprising, Lempen focus on puppetry, storytelling, light, music and a journey that takes the audience there and back again.
