Free guidance day could be just the job
Tuesday, 9th March 2010.
There will be a free advice and guidance day for unemployed people in Haverhill in a fortnight's time, sponsored by Haverhill Town Council.
Called Just The Job, it will be held at Haverhill Arts Centre on Friday, March 26, from 10am to 3pm.
The event has been organised by West Suffolk College in Haverhill. Local people will be able to find out what skills employers want - and how they can achieve them as quickly as possible.
No appointment is necessary and people can just drop in on the day.
Staff from West Suffolk College, Haverhill Job Centre, MENTA, Haverhill Volunteer Centre, 1st Stop Recruitment and the Haverhill Credit Union will be on hand to give advice.
Haverhill LEAP Centre manager Barbara Adshead said: “Free training is on offer in Haverhill and we want as many people as possible to take advantage of it.
“There are easy ways to boost your CV and we can help.”
Anyone who cannot come along on the March 26 can call in to the LEAP Centre in High Street, or phone 01440 712177.
