A giant robot wowed the crowds in Haverhill on Saturday at the annual town street festival.
The event marked the launch of the two-week Haverhill Festival and included three entertaining acts.
Hundreds of shoppers and visitors to the town watched as Cyberstein, the eight foot robot, rolled along the streets singing and occasionally stopped to mingle with the crowds and call into some of the nearby shops.
Two Australian entertainer brought along two giant bouncing kangaroos which also proved very popular and two musical maidens on stilts played an exotic blend of music throughout the day.
The street festival which is the 15th to be held in the town, was organised and supported by Haverhill Town Council.
Nick Keeble, arts and leisure manager for the council said: "This year's street festival had probably the most exciting performers and entertainment compared to previous years. People actally came into the town especially for the event and there was a really good festival atmosphere. The highlight was definately the robot. It wass like the pied piper. Children and their parents were folowing it down the road to see what it was going to do next."
Mr keeble said tickets for other events and shows planned throughout the two week festival, were selling fast and some had already sold out.
