Fans appeal by Barrett

HAVERHILL Rovers manager Lee Barrett is hoping for a big crowd when his team face Thetford Town in the Jewson League Division One clash tomorrow night.
"I've spoken to a few lads who play on Saturdays, and they said they are going to come along, plus Thetford always bring a few. So, hopefully, we will see a good gate," said Barrett.
Rovers will be hoping for a repeat of their earlier clash against Thetford this season - also on a Friday evening - when they won 3-0, but Barrett does not expect an easy game.
"They will be a tough side to break down, and I hope the lads don't think that it will be a walk-over."
Thetford are currently second from bottom in the 18-team first division, having taken only six points from their first 18 games, while Rovers occupy a comfortable 12th place with 21 points from 17 matches. Haverhill were due to be playing at Somersham on Tuesday evening, and Barrett was hoping that his side could take at least four points, "If we can get a draw at Somersham and a win on Friday it should set us up nicely for the rest of the season."
With the exception of the suspended duo of Lee Sharpe and Paul O'Hare, Barrett has a full squad from which to pick for the two matches.
Rovers reserves continued their fight against relegation in the Suffolk & Essex Border League with a 1-0 win against fellow strugglers St. Johns.
