Easter Holidays at the Haverhill Arts Centre

If you’re looking for activities to keep the children amused during the Easter holiday take a look at what Haverhill Arts Centre has to offer.
After the excesses of Easter Sunday come and relax with an Easter Monday treat; classic family entertainment with The Railway Children. This broadcast (at 3.00pm) of the new theatre production was filmed at the National Railway Museum in Yorkshire and features the original locomotive from the much loved 1970 film. Tickets are £15.00, £12.00 and £40.00 for a family ticket
On Wednesday 30 March, it’s bear’s birthday with Frogs & Snails & Teddy Bear Tales. Freehand Theatre tell the story of bear who’s so excited about his birthday tomorrow that he just can’t get to sleep. Weaving together tales of the seasons, enjoy the inventive puppetry, original music and gentle humour of this delightful production, specially designed for 3 to 7 year olds. Children are invited to bring a teddy bear to share the performance – no charge for bear tickets! There are two shows at 11.30pm and 2.30pm, tickets are £6.00, £5.00 and £20.00 for a family ticket.
Come and join Kansas gal Dorothy and all her friends with the Easter panto The Wizard of Oz on Saturday 9 April. Dorothy and Toto embark on a magical adventure, discover ‘there’s no place like home’ and along the way tell plenty of jokes and perform quality song and dance routines. There’s lots of glitz and spectacular scenery in this show that is chock-full of fun for all the family. There are performances at 2.00pm and 6.00pm and tickets are £10.00, £8.00 and £32.00 for a family ticket.
Family films at the Arts Centre in the holidays are Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (U)
on Monday 4 April at 10.30am and Tuesday 5 April at 2.30pm and Goosebumps (PG) 2D on Tuesday 5 April at 2.30pm.
