Driver who died in Withersfield crash named

Police have today named the man who died in a car crash in Withersfield on Wednesday lunchtime as Brian Trigg, of Gosfield.
Police were contacted by the ambulance service shortly after midday on Wednesday, following reports that a car had struck a tree in Silver Street in Withersfield.
Officers arrived and found a silver Audi. Mr Trigg, who was 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles had been involved in the collision.
A section of the road was closed for approximately four hours while forensic collision investigators carried out their inquiries.
