Driver used pavement and nearly hit woman
Tuesday, 27th April 2010.
Haverhill police are appealing for information after a woman was almost knocked over by a car which mounted the pavement.
The woman had been driving along Burton End at around 12.55pm on Friday when several cars stopped at the end of the traffic calming.
She got out of her car to see what the problem was, and a white T registration estate car, driven by a man in his 50s with grey hair and a beard, mounted the pavement to get round the blockage.
His female passenger, in her 50s with short white or grey hair, shouted abuse at the woman and the car drove off away from the town centre.
Anyone who can help in relation to this incident should call PC Andrew Green at Haverhill Police on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
