DISABLED people will be able to access the internet thanks to a a Haverhill charity group.
Skills Training UK at Cherry Hinton Hall recently opened a new Learn Direct centre at the hall. During a recent open day the Haverhill Association of Voluntary Organisations (HAVO) handed over five computers to the centre to help them deliver I.T. training to housebound people.
A spokesperson for Learn Direct said: "The Learn Direct Centre will complement the provision already being delivered to the unemployed and disadvantaged people of Cambridge. Learn Direct will be available for all."
The centre will be open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am-12.30pm on Saturdays. There are plans to open in the evening in the spring.
