Dog's victim appeals for help

Thursday, 7th December 2000.

A MAN who was bitten by a rottweiler in Haverhill at the end of September is appealing for help in tracking down its owner after learning that it has attacked someone else.
Taxi driver Lee Owen, 30, of Helions Park Avenue, Haverhill, has a 3in scar where his arm had to be stitched after the dog attacked him.
He was walking in Jubilee Walk when the rottweiler jumped up and bit him. It was on a lead but its young owner ran off with the dog.
Mr Owen said: "I haven't seen the dog again but I have heard he is still walking around with it.
"Now it has bitten someone else something needs to be done about it. It could be a child's face it bites next time."
Police have asked the dog owner or anyone with information to contact Pc Paul Jackson on (01284) 774100.
