Dizzy’s Day Nursery in Hollands Road has scooped the coveted title of Most Loved Business in Haverhill for the second year running in thebestof Haverhill Local & Loved Business Awards.

The nursery, established in 2002 and rated Outstanding by Ofsted, also won their category nationally to be become the Most Loved Nursery in the UK.

The Local & Loved Business Awards encourages local people to vote for local companies by writing a review for them. The aim of the awards is to create awareness of the thousands of local independent businesses who provide amazing service day in and day out.

During the competition tens of thousands of reviews were added to the bestof nationally, equating to one every eleven seconds, in the run-up to the close of the contest at midnight on Valentine’s Day.

Elaine Carr, owner of the bestof Haverhill, said: “I know we have some fantastic businesses in Haverhill and that we always do well in this national competition.

"This year the effort and commitment from our businesses has just blown me away. We had nine of our bestof Haverhill members in the top five most loved businesses in their categories, with four companies winning their category. This is such an achievement, I am very proud to be representing our local businesses.”

At a local level Dizzy’s Day Nursery accumulated 531 reviews to secure their win. In second place were Arevolution, the beauty sanctuary who won the Most Loved Business in Haverhill in 2011.

Third place went to the Raj Mahal Indian Restaurant, who joined bestof Haverhill in September 2013.

At a national level four Haverhill businesses won the title of Most Loved Business in the UK in their category - Dizzy’s Day Nursery – Nursery; Arevolution – Beauticians; Aerocycles – Cycle Shops and Accessories and Finishing Touch Interiors, who won the Most Loved Interior Designer for the second year running.

Haverhill Golf Club, PC Recruitment and Raj Mahal came in third position in their categories and Perform Sports Therapy and Tony Strowger Jewellers were both placed fourth.

Liz Nunn, the owner of Dizzy’s Day Nursery, said: “We are totally thrilled to have won the title of the Most Loved Business in Haverhill for a second year running. The icing on the cake though is winning the Most Loved Nursery in the UK!
