Decade of The Design Office is celebrated

Tuesday, 22nd November 2011.

Haverhill creative agency The Design Office marked ten years of business on Friday with a celebration at The Old Red Lion in Horseheath.

Clients, friends and family celebrated with owners Rebecca Bacon and Selina Austin and were treated to special anniversary cupcakes in the shape of a ten.

In 2001 Rebecca and Selina brought together backgrounds in photography, design and marketing to form a new creative agency in the town. In the last ten years The Design Office has grown from strength to strength, developing a reputation for inspiring, creating and delivering effective brands, locally and across the UK.

Rebecca said: "It was really nice to get together with clients, partners, family and friends and to have the opportunity to thank them for the support they have given us over the last ten years. We were touched by the turnout - especially as some of our guests had to tackle the M25 on a Friday afternoon to be with us."

Last month Rebecca and Selina relocated The Design Office, which offers marketing-led design and consultancy services, from Steeple Bumpstead to Chauntry Mills, renovating part of the old menswear clothing factory into office space.

Selina discovered that she, and her brother Damian who works alongside The Design Office, are the latest in a long line of family members on both their mother’s and father’s side to work there.

Selina’s mother, father, grandmothers, great-grandmother and great-grandfather, great-great-grandmother and great-great-great-grandmother all worked at Chauntry Mills dating back to the 18th Century.

Selina added: "This year has been significant for us with our office move, some exciting new opportunities and our tenth birthday. We're looking forward to the next decade as our business continues to evolve to provide outsourced marketing and design services to a growing base of clients across the UK.”
