David's Rewarded for his Faith

A 12 year old boy has overcome dyspraxia and learning difficulties to gain a church award.
David Curtis, of Westward Deals, Kedington, has been presented with a trophy for being a faithful, caring and enthusiastic member of the United Reformed Church in Saffron Walden for more than five years.
David, a pupil at Haverhill's Parkway Middle School, was presented with his trophy at the weekend.
The award was presented to David for his work in the church organisation Pilots, a non-uniformed christian organisation for children and young peopole supported by the United Reformed Church and Congregational Foundation.
He was recognised for helping with charity fund raising, amongst other things, such as entertainment events for residents of the Almshouses, a residential home in Saffron Walden.
The family continued worshipping at the Saffron Walden church after moving to kedington four years ago.
Mum Kerry said, "I'm as proud as punch. It's such a big acheivement for him."
