Crowds turn out for town's Remembrance parade
Monday, 15th November 2010.
Haverhill remembered its war dead from various conflicts with a parade and the traditional ceremony at the war memorial yesterday afternoon.
The parade gathered at the Arts Centre car park around 2pm and then set off to march down the high street, along Queen Street and into Withersfield Road, making its way to the cemetery.
Roads were closed for the event and many people came out to watch and follow on to the memorial, where the Last Post was sounded, two minutes' silence observed and the Exhortation read.
After the ceremony, the parade made its way back to St Mary's Church for a service.
