Country festival is a major attraction
Thursday, 22nd July 1999.
Stetsons and spurs were the order of the day as country music fans flocked to the 15th annual Haverhill Country Music Festival at the weekend. The Lazy K Country Music Club runs the popular festival.
People camped at the Little Wratting showground throughout the event, which lasted from Friday to Sunday night.
Top acts included George Moody, West Virginia, Kenny Johnson and Northwind, Sara Jory, Raymond Froffatt, Noddy from Holland, New Moon from Ireland and Texas Gun from Scotland.
And majorettes travelled from as far away as Somerset to take part in New Image Majorettes Competition at Recreation Ground on Sunday.
The event attracted 15 troupes as well as charity stalls, a car boot sale, refreshments and a bouncy castle.
