Convincing win for golfer Paul

The men’s IFF Challenge was played at Haverhill Golf Club on Wednesday, January 27.
Paul Houchen won the competition convincingly, after having the lowest gross score of 76 and he has now had his handicap reduced to five.
The full results were as follows: Division One, 1 Paul Houchen 76-6-70; 2 Richard Sharp 80-7-73; 3 Chris Vince 82-5-77.
Divisin Two, 1 Stewart Johnstone 90-18-72; 2 Graham Hepworth 93-20-73; 3 Andy Softley 88-14-74. Division Three, 1 Duncan Watson 98-26-72; 2 Ken Johnson 104-26-78; 3 Barry Shuter 101-22-79.
The Ladies’ Stableford was played on Wednesday and Saturday, January 20 and 23, with the course proving to be a tough test at this time of year.
The overall winner was Pat Kennedy with 30pts, in second place Denise Walker with 28pts on countback from third place Lyn Fish, also with 28pts.
