Concorde china up for auction at fayre
Thursday, 21st June 2012.
Fund raisers at St Mary's Church in Haverhill are holding a Summer Fayre in the run-up to the arrival of the Olympic Torch on Saturday, July 7, in which they will be auctioning some Concorde memorabilia.
Six pieces of British Airways Concorde china, all numbered and made by Royal Doulton will make up a lot in the auction. The china is described as 'very collectable'.
The fayre, which includes a craft and gift stall, tombola, home-made cake stall and the auction, runs from 10am to 2pm at the church. The Torch is due to arrive at 2.39pm.
Money raised at the fayre will be to help preserve the medieval church building.
