Computer games and DVDs stolen in burglary
Monday, 14th January 2013.
Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Burton End, Haverhill, yesterday.
Between 2.30am and 9.30am a thief got into a home in Burton End via an insecure window. They then entered the living room and stole a handbag and a number of Xbox games and Blu-ray DVDs.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Michael Gwyn at Bury St Edmunds CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Thieves also broke into The Drabbet Smock pub twice over the weekend of January 5 and 6 and took a quantity of alcohol.
*Police are alos appealing for information after a car was set alight in Haverhill yesterday.
Firefighters and police were called at around 8.10pm to a report that a red Ford Mondeo had been set on fire while parked in Dunster Drive. The vehicle was burnt out and a nearby garden fence was also damaged.
If anyone saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or around the vehicle they are asked to contact PC Mark Ellis at the Haverhill Response Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
