Classic way to view motorbikes
Thursday, 24th August 2000.
Motorcyde enthusiasts from across the country came to Shudy Camps to view a line-up of gleaming machines.
The annual Custom and Classic Bike Show, which takes place on farm land in the village, is now in its 11th year.
The show began as a birthday party for the girlfriend of one of the organisers and has grown into a popular event.
Sam Gilbert, one of the organisers, said: “It went very well and everyone had a great day even though the weather wasn’t too good.
“We had people from all over the country as well as from New York, New Zealand and Europe.”
The show is divided into categories, including best British Bike and Best Foreign Cycle.
The overall winner was a classic Harley Davidson worth £35,000.
