Shoppers are being reminded that there is no automatic right to return unwanted presents. Trading standards advising reviewing the companies returns policy before placing your order.
As with High Street shops customers are advised to keep all receipts and paperwork to make it easier to solve any problems.
Peter Monk, of Suffolk County Council said: “When buying from the Internet it is vital to check delivery arrangements, especially this close to Christmas.”
He went on to say: “Credit card fraud is a big worry. Shoppers have 90- days to report any fraudulent transactions, and they won’t be liable for any loss.”
