Chance to have a say about High Street traffic
Tuesday, 9th March 2010.
Anyone unhappy with the traffic regulations in operation in Haverhill High Street has a golden opportunity on Thursday to question the man responsible for them.
Kevin Shipp from Suffolk County Council highways department will be attending Haverhill police's Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) monthly public meeting.
The SNT, which is a multi-agency forum led by the police, has invited Mr Shipp along to discuss various parking issues across Haverhill.
Resulting from the meeting could be new priorities for the police to deal with particular areas where inconsiderate parking has caused complaints, in particular from Place Farm Primary School, Haverhill Ambulance Station and Burton End School.
The monthly meetings are open to the public to attend and raise any area of policing in the town, and concerns can be turned into monthly priorities for the police to deal with, in partnership with other organisations involved, such as the borough or county councils.
The meeting takes place at the Salvation Army hall in Chauntry Road, and begins at 2pm.
